The following is a basic description of these Seminars and the pertinent information concerning their presentation.
“Maximized Relationships” Seminar
This seminar is a basic temperament seminar. It is for everyone who wants to develop their “people” skills, and it helps them understand themselves & others.
The general components are:
◘ the administration and discussion of temperament profiles
◘ the Biblical basis for the temperaments,
◘ the Model of Human Behavior,
◘ the basic attributes of each temperament,
◘ communication principles,
◘ personal behavior modification
◘ techniques for motivating and relating to others
* The following seminars contain some or all of the “Maximized Relationships” seminar as core subject matter. The amount utilized depends on the time allowed for the total seminar.
“Maximized Marriages” Seminar
This seminar is for married couples and/or singles who want to strengthen their relationships, or are experiencing challenges or problems, and are searching for answers.
The seminar contains the above core information plus:
◘ Recognizing & correcting the potential areas of tension related to each other's
temperament
◘ Role-playing and object lesson games/skits
◘ How to identify and fulfill the emotional & romantic wants & needs of their partner
◘ Private one-on-one sessions with each couple [or single person] to discuss the
interpretation of their profiles and how their unique temperaments interact with each
other.
“Maximized Parenting” Seminar
This seminar is for parents, educators, children’s ministry workers, and any other person who deals with children of any age. Although the focus of this seminar is children, it is very important to understand one’s own temperament in order to effectively interact and relate to children & teenagers, so a portion of the above core information relating to adults [primarily the personal profiles and the temperament basics] will be included.
The balance of the seminar contains the following information:
◘ The temperament strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies in children
◘ Insights into communicating with children
◘ Recognizing & filling a child’s physical, emotional, and environmental needs
◘ Discipline
◘ How to train and motivate children
◘ How to handle an angry child
◘ How to spiritually train children
“Maximized Leadership” Seminar
This seminar is for business owners or supervisors who want to improve their profit and productivity by increasing their leadership skills. It is primarily focused on how to lead others and provides information, tools, and techniques to develop and train employees.
This seminar includes the core seminar plus the following:
◘ Leadership tendencies of the temperaments
◘ Qualities of successful leaders
◘ Team building techniques
◘ Recognizing the temperaments of their employees/team members & positions they are
best suited to.
◘ Motivating employees based on their temperament
“Maximized Ministry” Seminar
This seminar is for pastors or people in ministry positions. It includes the core seminar plus the following information:
◘ Leadership tendencies of the temperaments
◘ Spiritual strength & weaknesses of each temperament
◘ How others view them and their ministry “style.”
◘ The 5-fold ministry and the temperaments
◘ Keys to balancing their ministry with people of other temperaments
Combination Seminars
It is very easy to combine 2 or 3 seminars if the time and location constraints allow. For instance, many times we have conducted a “Marriage Seminar” and a “Parenting Seminar”. Those 2 are natural since they both deal with the family.
Seminar Scheduling & Time Length
The minimum time required to properly conduct each seminar is approximately 7-8 hours. The maximum amount can be as long as 20 hours, especially if a combination of seminars is conducted.
The best scenario is one in which we can spread the seminar over at least 2 days, since there is a great deal of information to process, and time is needed to properly administer the Personal Profile to each participant. For example, a good situation is one where we can do a 2-3 hour session on a Friday evening, and then 5-7 hours on Saturday. This allows us to administer the Personal Profiles on Friday evening and present some of the basics of the temperaments. Time is needed for me to check over the scoring and graphing of the Profiles, and for the compilation of the individual Summaries for each person. The division in sessions also prevents mental “overloading” of the participants. We can be very flexible so that Seminar sessions can be scheduled to accommodate the church’s schedule.
Another possibility would be to combine a “Marriage Seminar” and a “Parenting Seminar” held on consecutive weekends. People can choose to attend 1 or both of the Seminars.
Friday evening [2-3 hours] - attended by all participants for Profiles & temperament basics
Saturday #1 [7-8 hours] - the “Maximized Marriages” Seminar
Saturday #2 [7-8 hours] - the “Maximized Parenting” Seminar
During the week between Saturdays, it would be possible to schedule Private sessions
Another possibility would be to divide the seminar over several evenings, such as Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday evenings.
